Anti-corrosion protection works are carried out at the industrial site after complete assembly and hydro-testing. Before applying the anticorrosive coating, PASSATSTAL specialists cleaned the metal surface with Sponge-Jet abrasive blasting technology to the degree of Sa 2. Bottom cleaning was performed by Sponge-Jet Robotica robot. Robotica’s performance is almost 2 times higher than manual cleaning, in 18 minutes the robot cleans 5.8 m2 of metal surface. The abrasive materials Sponge Media Silver 16 and Sponge Media Silver 30 were mixed as an abrasive in a ratio of 3 to 1.
Taking into account the operating conditions of the inner surface of the tail thickener — HA3 (highly aggressive) — the project provides for the following system of anticorrosive and abrasive-resistant protection:
— 1 layer of soil «Farbakout Protect Prime», the thickness of the dry layer 15-20 microns
— 3 layers of coating «Farbakout Protect», the total thickness of the dry layer 2000 microns
