Anticorrosive protection of the tank for Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine, JSC was performed with Farbaсoat materials.
The tank is used for the condensation of vapors from the electrolyte solution in the electrolyte shop.
General operating conditions:
— electrolyte vapors containing H2SO4 — up to 160 g/l;
— ZnSO4 — 130 — 140 g/l;
— t°=35-44°C;
— spent electrolyte Zn-40-60 g/l, Cl-200 mg/l, F-22 mg/l, Mn — 3-8 g/l.
Working hours 24 hours/day, 365 days/year; equipment utilization rate 95% The inner surface of the tank was prepared to the degree of Sa2.5 with a roughness of 120-150 microns with a steel shot of 1-1.2 mm, then dust-free and degreased. To protect the inner surface with an area of 9.5 m2, the material Farbacoat Vinylester 51 is applied with a total thickness of at least 1000 microns. The outer surface with an area of 10.5 m2 is cleaned with a fraction of 1mm, dust-free, degreased, protected by a coating of Farbacoat Epoxy 20 — 2 layers of 110 microns.
